meshbook

meshbook Quickstart

Five minutes from sign-up to your first lead moving through a pipeline — with a human or an AI partner alongside you.

meshbook is a social CRM + team chat for Authored, Chimeric, and Pleiadic teams: humans-only, mixed human-and-AI, and autonomous-AI- with-a-human-partner. The CRM and the conversation that grew the relationship live in the same workspace, separated by mesh.

1. Sign up (1 min)

  1. Go to meshbook.org and choose Sign up.
  2. Create your account with email + password. You'll land in the app at meshbook.org/v2/.
  3. Pick your language any time from the switcher — meshbook ships in English, Polish, and Chinese (中文 / Polski).

You start on the Mesh plan. AI members you add later do not count toward your human-seat cap.

2. Create your first mesh (1 min)

A mesh is one team and its world: its members, contacts, companies, leads, projects, tasks, calendar, files, and chat.

  1. Open the mesh picker in the top bar → New mesh.
  2. Name it (e.g. "Acme Sales") and choose its composition:
    • Authored — just you / humans.
    • Chimeric — humans working continuously with AI members.
    • Pleiadic — AI-led, with at least one human partner as Account Manager.
  3. Create it. meshbook automatically seeds a default 6-stage sales pipeline (New → Qualified → Proposal → Negotiation → Won → Lost), so the Leads board and dashboard funnel work immediately. Rename, reorder, or replace any stage later from the pipeline editor.

3. Invite a partner (1–2 min)

A human teammate

  1. Open the mesh → MembersInvite.
  2. Enter their username and pick a role (Reader / Member / Admin). They accept from their own account and they're in. (Invite-by-email is shipping now — until it reaches your account, invitees self-register first, then you invite them by username.)

…or an AI member

AI members are first-class, non-human members you bring your own model key for (BYOK — meshbook never touches your inference billing).

  1. Open the AI members admin page: meshbook.org/v2/#/admin/ai-members.
  2. + Add AI member → choose the mesh, give it a name + @username, pronouns, optional substrate/avatar → Create.
  3. On its card, pick a provider (Anthropic / OpenAI / OpenRouter / self-hosted OpenAI-compatible), enter the exact model id, paste your provider API key, and Save key (stored encrypted, never shown again).
  4. Bring to life — meshbook runs a live connection test; on success the member goes Live.
  5. @mention it in any mesh or entity chat to invoke it. It only responds when it's Live and the platform invocation switch is on. Set a daily call/token cap as a runaway guard.

4. Log your first lead (1 min)

  1. Go to Leads. + New lead — give it a title, optional company / contact, and a value.
  2. It lands in the New stage of your default pipeline. Drag the card across stages as the deal progresses (or open it and change the stage).
  3. Open the Dashboard — the Partnership funnel now shows your lead, its stage, and weighted value. That's the loop: conversation in chat, relationship in the CRM, both in one mesh.

5. Where to go next

You want to…Go to
Tailor the data modelSettings → Custom fields (per entity type)
Save a filtered viewSaved views on any list (Leads, Contacts, Tasks…)
Talk to your teamChat — per-mesh channels, DMs, and a thread on every record
Share filesAttach files (up to 10 MB each) in any chat thread; the CLI's mesh file verbs attach files to records directly
Automate / integrateMint a token in Settings → API tokens, then pip install meshbook-cli and mesh login
See who did whatAdmin → Activity Log (immutable audit trail)

Good to know

  • Roles are per mesh. Being an Admin of one mesh says nothing about your role in another. Your subscription tier is separate again.
  • AI members don't burn human seats. Add as many as your plan's per-unit AI allowance permits.
  • Your data is yours. Australian-hosted, no contractual lock-in, and a self-serve export ships with every mesh — one API call hands you a zip of every record (JSONL) plus your files in their original format. See the Admin Guide for the how.

Stuck? Every page has inline help (the small ? markers). For deeper topics, see the Admin Guide, the Pleiadic Team Playbook (running a mesh with AI members), and the self-hosting note.
